Ticket Fares, Concessions and Free Travel

 

Purchasing your ticket

Tickets can be purchased when boarding the bus – please try to ensure you have the correct fare as drivers carry limited change.

Alternatively tickets can be purchased at any of the Interchanges in Darwin, Casuarina or Palmerston.

Fare Structure 1 January 2013

Bus Fare Schedule 2013

Full Fare: $3.00

An adult full fare entitles the passenger to unlimited bus travel for three hours on any scheduled public bus service from the time of validation.

Concession: $1.00

Seniors, Pensioners and Carers Card, Health Care Card, Companion Card, University and VET Card holders are entitled to unlimited bus travel for three hours any scheduled public bus service from the time validation. 

Only Australian State, Territory or Federal Government issued cards accepted.

It is the responsibility of the University or VET training provider to provide Public Transport with a copy of the standard issued student ID card to ensure students can access the concession fare. To contact Public Transport please click here

Show & Go Daily: $7.00

A Show&Go daily ticket provides unlimited bus travel and is valid from the first scheduled bus service to the last scheduled bus service on the day of validation.

Show & Go Weekly: $20.00 

A Show&Go weekly ticket provides unlimited bus travel on scheduled public bus services for seven days from the date of validation. 

Free Travel

Travel on the Territory’s urban public bus network is free for the following people:

  • Veterans
  • Vision impaired
  • A Companion Card holders Companion
  • Northern Territory primary, middle and senior school students
  • Children under the age of 5 years

Only Australian State, Territory or Federal Government issued cards accepted.
