Northern Australia

Ramingining
Ramingining hosted its first Road Safety Song Competition in September 2011, followed by another successful event in 2012.

Milingimbi
Milingimbi also hosted its first Road Safety Song Competition in September 2011, followed again in 2012 with the winning band The Channel Boys taking out top prize.

Central Australia

In conjunction with Art Back NT, Road Safety ran a series of Road Safety Song Competitions throughout Central Australia in June 2012. These song competitions are a way of engaging communities in thinking about road safety and keeping each other safe.

  • 2nd - Warnayaka from Lajamau

  • Best Male - Harry Jones from Yuelamu

  • Best School - Upper Primary - Yuelamu School

Winners from the 2012 Haasts Bluff competition:

  • 1st - Ikuntji Mix Band from Hassts Bluff
  • 2nd - Sunshine Reggae Band from Hassts Bluff
