Changes to School Services 473(AM) and 447x(PM)

route 473Students, parents and carers are advised that changes to school bus routes 473(AM) and 447x(PM) will commence as of Monday 10 February. Route 473(AM) will now stop at Coolalinga Park and Ride on the way to Taminmin College from Palmerston Interchange. Route 447x(PM) has been renamed to 473(PM). There is no change to the route of travel on this service.

Changes to School Service 103(PM) route of travel

103-image-01-copyStudents, parents and carers are advised that as of the start of term 1 (Tuesday 28 January 2014) the Tipperary Waters section of 103(PM) will be serviced after Bayview, at the end of the route of travel. The route of travel change is due to road works on Tiger Brennan Drive and associated road restrictions.

Changes to School Service 242(PM)

route 242 imageStudents, parents and carers are advised that as of the start of term 1 (Tuesday 28 January 2014) school service 242(PM) will no longer service Farrar Blvd and Roystonea Ave. Any students wishing to travel to Farrar can get off at Palmerston Interchange and connect to urban route 74. Additionally the service will now depart from Casuarina Senior College at 3.10pm.

School bus travel resumes 28 January 2014

school buses in a rowFree bus travel for Northern Territory primary, middle and high school students on the urban and school bus networks will resume on Tuesday 28 January 2014.

Travel on the school bus network is for students only and parents are encouraged to familiarise their children with their route of travel and bus stop.

Bus services on Australia Day public holiday

Australia day logoPassengers are advised that the public holiday for Australia Day will fall on Monday 27 January 2014. Therefore reduced public holiday bus services will apply across the Darwinbus network.

fireworksFree buses will operate from Darwin (Mitchell Street), Casuarina and Palmerston from 7pm on New Year's Eve until 6.30am on New Year's Day.

Reduced bus services on public holidays.

Christmas day - no bus services.

Boxing Day and New Year's Day - public holiday services only.

Thursday 12 December 2013 - last day of school bus services

school buses in a rowThe majority of Greater Darwin school bus services for 2013 will conclude on Thursday and not operate on Friday 13 December.

School bus services that will run on Friday 13 December are 20(AM), 20(PM), 453(AM), 453a(PM) and 453b(PM).

As per the timetable, school term public bus services on routes 445, 446 and 447 will conclude for 2013 on Thursday 12 December.

School services and school term public services will resume on Tuesday 28 January 2014.
